Empower, Learn, Celebrate

Sellafield Centre of Excellence

Our children in KS2 had a great time at the Sellafield Centre of Excellence. During the day, children worked their way around a carousel of activities. They practiced how to control drones on a simulator, controlled robots and took Sparky; the robot dog for a walk. They made electrical circuits to achieve an outcome. They used their problem solving skills and perseverance to follow instructions to create an electrical circuit to make a remote control car work. Children made pyramids from spaghetti and marshmallows, designed and launched their own rockets, as well as created their own designs using 3D pens and structures using Lego.
