Greggs Breakfast Club
We have successfully applied for funding from the Greggs Foundation to host our very own free breakfast club. The club is open at 8.30am every day and is open for all children in school. Our community entrance is opened at 8.30am every day for children to arrive.
The club provides a range of breakfast foods such as toast, cereal, yogurts, porridge, fruit, juice plus many more healthy options.
The children at Distington Community School have the opportunity to have a substantial breakfast every day and ensure they are fuelled up for the busy school day. The club also supports good mental health and well-being as the children have an extra opportunity to mix with their peers in a safe informal environment.
