Local Paramedics Visit

Today, Year 1 had a very special visit from 2 local paramedics, Sam and Matthew.

They discussed their roles as paramedics and explained some of the things they do on a day-to-day basis. They answered lots of our very interesting questions and allowed us to explore some of the equipment they use when they're at work, helping people (they even used some of their equipment on us!)

They finished their visit by allowing us to go inside of their ambulance. We couldn't believe just how small it was/how little room there was for the paramedic(s) to work on their patient!

We fully agree that paramedics, nurses, doctors and all health care workers are true superheroes, like the superheroes in our literacy text 'Send for a Superhero!'

Thank you to Sam and Matt (and all paramedics) for the amazing work you guys do! We now have lots of aspiring health care works in Year 1!
