Welcome to Year 6

We are a class of 15 children and our teacher is Mr Mossop. Our teaching assistant is Mrs Lister.

Key Information:

• Our PE days are every Wednesday and Thursday. 
• Read five times a week to gain your Strive for Five target. Children receive a raffle ticket each time they read at home which they sign and enter into our weekly reading raffle! There are lots of exciting prizes to be won.
• Homework is given out on a Friday and collected on Thursday and we will go through the Answers together on Friday mornings. It will consist of some maths and reading activities with spellings included as we progress in the year.

We will keep you updated with your child's learning throughout the year via. Earwig, Class DOJO and parents meetings. 

We learn through a creative curriculum and we have lots of exciting, purposeful activities that allow us to develop and grow through memorable, fun activities.

Year 6 Mini Police

What a fantastic start for the Year 6 Distington Mini police! The children are ready to be introduced to a positive experience of policing and become involved in their local community. We have an exciting year ahead! Our first task will be to talk to the younger children about staying safe on Bonfire Night.
